The Development of Self-directed Supplementary Learning Module on Pneumatics System

Abstract


This experimental research aims at developed self-directed Supplementary learning module on Pneumatics System. The researcher developed this learning module for Bachelor degree students in the Department of Mechanical Technology Education, Faculty of Technical Education, KMUTNB. The self-directed module was trial with 21 students enrolling in the class of Pneumatics and Hydraulics in academic year 2/2012. To complete the experiment the sampling group was required to complete the pretest before studying with the developed module. After finishing achievement during their study. At the end of the whole course, the sample group completed the posttest and the scores were calculated and analyzed to find progress. The results of the study showed that the efficiency of the developed self-directed learning module was 91.04/87.38 which was higher than the standard criteria at 80/80. Moreover, the scores of the pretest and posttest showed that after studying with this module, the students achieved higher with the statistically significant difference at .01, the students satisfaction of self-directed Supplementary learning module in the positive level.
