Curriculum Development of Total Quality Management for Security Services In Services Industry

Abstract


The purposes of this research were to develop model of total quality management for security services business and used the model to develop and find the curriculum efficiency of total quality management for security services business in services industry. The research and development were divided into 6 steps as follows; 1) the development of total quality management model for security services business in services industry. 2) the development of training curriculum 3) the curriculum trial 4) the management curriculum training 5) the operation curriculum training 6) after training monitoring.  The samples of this study were 8 experts who provided the information in the in-deep interviewing process, 9 experts in the focus group, 8 trainees in the curriculum trial, 28 trainees from top management, middle management and lower management who attended the management curriculum training and 40 trainees from operation level who attended the operation curriculum training.  The research tools for data collection were in-deep interview form, model assessment form, topic assessment form, appropriate curriculum assessment form, theoretical and practical test form, monitoring assessment form.  The statistics in this study were mean, percentage and standard deviation.

The research results from development of quality management model for security services business in services industry revealed that it was appropriate at the highest level. The quality management model for security services business or Guards Model were developed the curriculum on total quality management for security services business in services industry. The appropriate and consistent assessment results evaluated by specialists showed that the training curriculum had two levels which were management and operation level.

The curriculum training implementation for management level with the sample of total 28 trainees, it was found that the post test and performance test were 86.60 percent and the assessment results from supervisors and subordinators found that the trainees who passed the training in the management level were meet criteria from high to the highest level. Whereas the curriculum training implementation for operation level with the sample of total 40 trainees, it was found that the post test and performance test were 87.90 percent and the assessment results from supervisors and subordinators found that the trainees who passed the training in the operation level were meet criteria from high to the highest level.
