Development of Web-based Instruction Using Brain-based Learning for Enhancing Analytical Thinking Skill
The purposes of the research were 1) to develop web-based instruction model using brain-based learning (WBBL) for enhancing analytical thinking skill; 2) to create web-based instruction as the instructional model; 3) to compare the students’ analytical thinking skill posttest score with the pretest score; 4) to compare the students’ learning achievement score with the pretest score, and 5) to survey students’ satisfaction toward WBBL. The sample was 30 Prathomsuksa 4th students who enrolled on Thai language subject in second semester of 2014 academic year of Somboon Wittayanukul school. Research instruments consisted of WBBL; a structured interview form; WBBL model quality evaluation form; WBBL model certification form; WBBL quality evaluation form; analytical thinking skill test, and learning achievement test. Statistics were used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation , and t-test. The research results found that 1) the WBBL model was comprised of 6 components, including teaching roles, environment, interaction, learning, information, and student roles. 2) The posttest score of students’ analytical thinking skill was significantly higher than the pretest score at .05 level. 3) the students’ learning achievement score was significantly higher than the pretest score at .05 level. Moreover, 4) the students’ satisfaction toward WBBL were at high level (Mean = 4.40).
