An Interactive Multi-touch Teaching Innovation for Preschool Mathematical Skills

Abstract


The paper proposes a teaching medium that is suitable for preschool children and teacher to develop basic mathematical skills. The research applies the bases of Multi-touch and Multi-point media technologies to innovate an interactive teaching technique. By utilizing Multi-touch and the connectivity structure of Multi-point to create a technology that facilitates simultaneous interaction from child learners, the teacher can better adjust and adapt the lessons accordingly. The benefit of this innovation is the amalgamation of technology and new idea to supporting teaching media development that permits teachers and students to interact to each other directly, as well as self-learning by themselves
