ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความเชื่อที่ผิดเกี่ยวกับการลงโทษทางร่างกายกับพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวในนักศึกษาRelationship between Corporal Punishment Myths and Aggressive Behavior in Undergraduate Students

Abstract

การลงโทษทางร่างกายก่อให้เกิดความเชื่อที่ผิดเกี่ยวกับการลงโทษทางร่างกาย และพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าว แต่ความสัมพันธ์ของสองตัวแปรนี้ยังไม่เคยมีการศึกษาในประเทศไทยมาก่อน งานวิจัยฉบับนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความเชื่อที่ผิดเกี่ยวกับการลงโทษทางร่างกายกับพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวในนักศึกษา ใช้วิธีการสุ่มกลุ่มตัวอย่างตามสะดวก โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี สถาบันเทคโนโลยีปทุมวัน (อายุเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 19.88 ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 1.44) จำนวน 100 คน เครื่องมือที่ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 2 เครื่องมือ คือ 1. มาตรวัดความเชื่อที่ผิดเกี่ยวกับการลงโทษทางร่างกาย (α =.92) 2. แบบประเมินความก้าวร้าว (α =.90) สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ความเชื่อที่ผิดเกี่ยวกับการลงโทษทางร่างกายมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าว อย่างมีระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 (r=.38, P<.01)

Corporal punishment leads to corporal punishment myths and aggressive behavior. There is no previous research about relationship between these two variables in Thailand. So the objective of this research is to study relationship between corporal punishment myths and aggressive behavior. The sampling method was convenience sampling. The sampled participants were 100 undergraduate students at Pathumwan institute of technology (Age mean = 19.88 years, Standard Deviation =1.44). The instruments in this study were corporal punishment myths scale (CPMS) (α =.92) and aggression questionnaire (α =.90).  The statistical methods were used: mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s product moment coefficient. The results revealed that there was a positive relationship between corporal punishment myths and aggressive behavior with statistical significance at .01 level (r=.38, p<.01).
