The Instructional Administration of Vocational Skills in Compulsory School

Abstract


The purposes of this research were to determine: 1) the components of the administration of teaching and learning vocational skills in compulsory school, 2) the confirmation of the components of the administration of teaching and learning vocational skills in compulsory school. The population were the pilot compulsory schools in vocational and technology schools in Primary Educational Service Area under Office of the Basic Education Commission from 183 areas, 366 schools totally. The sample were determinated by the formula of Krejcie and Morgan, totally 188 schools selected by stratified random sampling by region. The respondents were administrators and heads of Learning Area of Occupations and Technology with the total of 376 respondents. Those sent it from 151 schools, 302 respondents totally, 80.32 percent. The data were collected by using questionnaires. The data were analyzed by content analysis, frequency, percentage, arithmetic, standard deviation and exploratory factor analysis. The finding were as follows: 1) The administration of teaching and learning vocational skills in compulsory school were 6 components namely: (1) the assignment of appropriate administrative procedures (2) the assignment of the high level policy (3) the enhancing of the desirable characteristics of the learner (4) the desirable characteristics of curriculum (5) the support of teaching and learning, and (6) the supervision and evaluation of the finding curriculum practice. 2) The experts confirmed those components which were accuracy, propriety, feasibility and utility standards.
