Development of Teaching Method with Intelligent Virtual Teacher Assistance to Strengthen the Learning Efficiency for Teaching in the Topic of Circuit Analysis at Department of Teacher Training in Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut\’s University of Technology North Bangkok

Abstract


This research paper purposes a development of a computer-based learning system cooperated with the designed software called Intelligent Virtual Teacher Assistance Program (iVTA) to strengthen a learning efficiency. The MIAP (Motivation, Information, Application and Progress) and iVTA were successfully applied to teach students. The aims of this method were employed to inspect students in the class room and outside class room. The learning efficiency in the subject of electric circuit analysis for voltage node method from iVTA and normal teaching (MIAP) was analyzed and compared. The sampling group was bachelor students who registered in the subject of Electrical Circuit Analysis at Department of Teacher Training in Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok in the 2554/2 semester. The experimental group was 38 students in the second section. The controlled group was 9students in the first section. The research tools were the lesson plan managed by iVTA method and normal lesson plan. The experimental results show that the efficiency of the iVTA model was 1.14 which was higher than the standard criteria of Meguigans formula. The effectiveness of the learning efficiency was 0.05 in the statistical significant. The learning effectiveness of iVTA program was higher than the controlled group. The student’s satisfaction of the learning process was rank in good level.
