The Format of Multimedia E-Newsletters for the Newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok

Abstract


This study aims to 1) develop a format of multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute, 2) evaluate the quality of the developed multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute, 3) study the satisfaction of the personnel of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and the academic service users of the Thai-French Innovation Institute towards the multimedia e-newsletters. The sample of this study consisted of two groups, which were 348 personnel of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and 174 academic service users subscribing to attend training with the Thai-French Innovation Institute in Academic Year 2018. The sample size of both groups were determined by using Taro Yamane’s formula and simple sampling. The instruments used in this study were 1) multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute on the internet; 2) the evaluation form for experts to evaluate the quality of the developed multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute; 3) the evaluation form for evaluating the satisfaction of the personnel of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and the academic service users of the Thai-French Innovation Institute towards the multimedia e-newsletters. The satisfaction evaluation forms had a confidence level of .976, and the statistical methods i.e. percentage, mean, and the standard deviation were implemented for data analysis in this study. It was found that 1) the format of the multimedia enewsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute consists of electronic and multimedia features with content presented in the form of videos with moving images and sound. In addition, it has been designed for ease of use through reader interactive information which can be viewed on a smartphone; 2) the overall quality of the multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute was at the highest level ( X = 4.70), and each aspect was also at the highest level. Moreover, after eight experts studied the details of the multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute, its overall format was found to be at the highest level (87.50%); 3) the overall satisfaction of the personnel towards the multimedia e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute was at a high level ( X = 4.26), and the satisfaction in each aspect was also at a high level and the overall satisfaction of the academic service users towards the e-newsletters for the newsletters of the Thai-French Innovation Institute was at a high level ( X = 4.31), and the satisfaction in each aspect was also at a high level.
