Enhancement of Teachers’ Competency in Educational Information Technology by using Knowledge Sharing in Learning Management

Abstract


The purposes of this research were 1) to develop of teachers’ competencies in educational information technology. 2) to study of learning management based on knowledge sharing for enhancing teachers’ competencies in educational information technology. And 3) To study the effects of the learning outcome through the learning management based on knowledge sharing with the sample of teachers teaching at all levels and all subjects at least 1 year in Lampang province. According to the results found, 1) the teachers’ competencies in educational information technology consist of 4 units of competency and 13 Elements of competency. 2) The learning management based on knowledge sharing for enhancing teachers’ competencies in educational information technology consists of three components : First element is input include : teachers’ competencies in educational information technology, competency-based learning module, key content of competency, competency-based objective, competency-based learning measurements and assessment, factors enhancing exchange of learning and sharing, roles of learner and roles and influence of teacher. Second element is divided into two parts were : The first part was exchange of learning and sharing management system. The second part was learning and sharing steps. Third element is Output which is described as knowledge and skills based on teachers’ competencies in educational information technology. The suitability of the applied model was high. 3) The sampled results also indicated a significant increase of .05 after the study when compared to prior to the study. Moreover, the sampled respondents’ satisfactory level regarding the knowledge sharing model was also high.
