The Development of Learning Management System for Enhancing the Competency based on the Occupational Standards in an Animation Major
The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop a competency based curriculum structure in Animation 2) to develop a learning management system for enhancing the competency based on the occupational standards in an Animation Major and 3) to study performance enhancement of learners in Animation. This was done by applying it to 25 students from high vocational certificate majoring in Multimedia Computer Arts, Siam Technology College (Siamtech).The professional performance appraisal follow ups were also conducted on 8 students that had gone through the creation of 3D animation. From the results of the research, it was found that 1) Competency based curriculum structure comprised of course specification, module of instructions, teaching methods, assessment approach and evidence requirements 2) Components of the learning management system to enhance learners' competencies are the user management were system, course management system, module management system, quiz and assessment management system, and report management system are the most suitable (=4.50, S.D.=.60) Instrument were used to assess vocation competencies were professional competency assessment plan and professional competency assessment form comprised of observation, competency evaluation, oral questionnaires, vocational competency assessment results summary and 3) The learners had a standardized learning achievement of 75% on all learning modules with the highest mean was the Modeling at 81.20% and all trainees had performance in accordance with the assessment criteria in performance units that match the assigned workload.
