บทคัดย่อ

ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศที่กำลังพัฒนาด้านอุตสาหกรรม แต่ยังต้องพึ่งพาเทคโนโลยีและผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากประเทศผู้นำด้านอุตสาหกรรมในการผลิตสินค้าที่ใช้เทคโนโลยีสูง ดังนั้น การที่ประเทศไทยจะสามารถก้าวไปสู่การเป็นประเทศอุตสาหกรรมใหม่ได้นั้นจำเป็นต้องให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ในสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีรวมทั้งสาขาวิชาการชั้นสูงที่เกี่ยวข้องโดยต้องพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการวิจัยและพัฒนาเครื่องมือเครื่องจักรและอุปกรณ์การผลิตสินค้าที่มีมูลค่าเพิ่มสูง เพื่อลดการนำเข้าเทคโนโลยีการผลิตจากต่างประเทศที่ทำให้ประเทศไทยต้องขาดดุลการค้ามหาศาลในปัจจุบัน การบริหารธุรกิจอุตสาหกรรมของประเทศไทยให้มีประสิทธิภาพและสามารถผลิตสินค้าให้มีคุณภาพตามมาตรฐานสากลได้นั้น ผู้บริหารโรงงาน/บริษัทจะต้องมีวิสัยทัศน์ในการทำงานโดยใช้ระบบการบริหารจัดการองค์การสมัยใหม่คือ การวางแผน การจัดองค์การ การบังคับบัญชา การประสานงาน การควบคุม และการติดตามประเมินผลการทำงานของพนักงานให้ได้ตามเป้าหมายขององค์การทั้งนี้การฝึกอบรมและพัฒนาความรู้และทักษะการทำงานของพนักงานต้องกระทำอย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อให้ทันต่อความเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์

Abstract

Thailand is a country where industries fall in the developmental stage, thus it depends on technology and professional expertise from industry-oriented nations where manufacturing processes involve the use of advanced technology. To step into a newly-industrialized country, Thailand must place special emphasis on human resource development especially in science, technology and other related disciplines. The specific concerns should also be put on the development of research capacity along with production equipment and machinery. In so doing, the import of foreign technologies, particularly those involving manufacturing activities which inflict the country’s massive trade deficit would be lessened. To ensure effective and quality management of Thai industrial business of which product outcomes can attain international standards, the administrative vision in combination with the modern management scheme which constitutes systemized planning, organizing, command, control, coordination and personnel performance appraisal corresponding to organizational goals are deemed vital. Most importantly, Continual training to improve employees’ personal and professional skills must be provided, keeping them up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the era of globalization.
