The Strategies of Information and Communication Technology Administration for Secondary School

Abstract


The purposes of this research were to determine; 1) the factors and 2) the strategies of information and communication technology administration for secondary school. The population of this research were 2,361 secondary schools and stratified random sampling used for selecting 96 samples. There were totally 288 key informants selected from each school for 3 types composed of 1) school director 2) head of department of information and communication technology and 3) officer of information and communication technology. The research instrument was opinionnaire. The quantitative data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and exploratory factor analysis while content analysis was used for the qualitative data analysis. The study findings were as follows: 1) the factors of information and communication technology administration for secondary school consisted of six factors: 1.1) promoting participation, 1.2) knowledge management, 1.3) basic resources development, 1.4) quality management, 1.5) teacher and officer development, and 1.6) academic service. 2) There were 14 strategies of information and communication technology administration for secondary school. These divided into 6 components: 2.1) 3 strategies of promoting participation, 2.2) 3 strategies of knowledge management, 2.3) 3 strategies of basic resources development, 2.4) 2 strategies of quality management, 2.5) 2 strategies of teacher and officer development, and 2.6) 1 strategy of academic service about information and communication technology.
